Michael P. Jones Licensed Funeral Director - Owner
Anna Hoegh Business Manager
As many of you may know, Michael and I have been together for several years and have been engaged since Christmas of 2017. So taking on the business manager role I thought was just keeping him in line and on his really busy weeks making sure he knew exactly which direction he was headed in. A whole lot more came along with this role and these other responsibilities are the things I actually love doing and have spent many years working my way up from the bottom. With complete hands on knowledge on how to keep the books balanced, having a good marketing plan, keeping our IT department up to date, making sure our great staff is taken care of, and assisting where ever I am needed in the funeral home.
We are not shy about bringing our home life into the funeral home, all six of our kids, 3 of Mike’s and 3 of mine have all worked in the funeral home. With our kids we love attending Iowa Hawkeye football games, sushi dates, and Fourth of July’s at the lake. A perfect get away for just the two of us would be a nice dinner in the city with a live performance. Along with his and mine, we have ours which include a Siberian Husky, calico cat, and two ornery Parti-Yorkies.
I love being a mom but my favorite me-time things to do would be decorating our home (aka plant enthusiast), making dinner with a glass of wine and good music, or a 30 minute mind clearing session of yoga.
