Ray Olsen

Per Ray's wishes, he chose to be cremated with no services.

Ray was born on May 19, 1944, near Audubon, Iowa, to Carl and Imogene (Christiansen) Olsen. He died at his home in Avoca, Iowa, on March 19, 2026, having attained the age of 81 years and 10 months.

Survivors include his wife Jane Olsen of Avoca, IA; children Dawn Paulsen of Malvern, IA; Duane Friend of Council Bluffs, IA; Derek (Megan) Olsen of Avoca, IA; grandchildren: Danielle (Ryan) Paulsen of Malvern, IA, Brooke Paulsen of Shenandoah, IA, Alexandria Friend, Addison Friend and Zackery Friend all of Council Bluffs, IA, Jasper and Oliver Olsen of Avoca, IA; 4 great-grandchildren: Tatum, Ethan, Avery, Bently, and another on the way (due in July); brother Philip Olsen of Portland, Oregon; many relatives and many friends.
