Tony Joseph Kloewer was born to Norbert and Patricia (Cunningham) Kloewer on April 26, 1964 in Harlan, Iowa. He was raised on the family farm near Westphalia, Iowa, where he developed a strong work ethic and deep family values. Tony was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church, where he also began his education at St. Boniface Catholic School. He later graduated from Harlan Community High School with the Class of 1983.
Following high school, Tony began his working career with Sta-Bilt Construction, where he was employed for four years. He then joined Western Engineering, dedicating 36 years as a roller operator—a role he took great pride in.
Outside of work, Tony had a passion for garage sales and loved hunting for unique treasures. He especially enjoyed collecting trinkets like beer steins, eagles, and antiques, always on the lookout for something that caught his eye.
Tony passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Iowa attaining the age of 60 years, 11 months and 7 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert "Nub" and Patricia Kloewer; brother, Jerry Kloewer; niece, Tricia Ballantyne; and brother-in-law, Roger Erb.
He is survived by his siblings, Kathy (Steve) Plumb of Harlan, IA, Carol Erb of Harlan, IA, Connie (Larry) Knudson of Omaha, NE, Doug (Lora) Kloewer of Harlan, IA, and Kristi Davis of Harlan, IA; 15 nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews; other relatives and an abundance of friends.
