Tim Roskens

Tim Roskens of Minden Iowa, 53, passed away on September 19th, 2023 in his truck. He was born on April 25, 1970, in Melvin, Iowa, and raised by his parents Gary and Marian (Reick) Roskens. He was later joined by sister Robin and brother Tom. Tim was a graduate of Avo-Ha High School in 1989, after graduating he attended Northwest Missouri State University and later earned his associate's degree from Iowa Western Community College.
Tim previously lived in Ocheyedan, IA, Schuyler, NE, and Avoca, IA. He was married for 25 years to Mary-Beth Schroder of Minden, IA and raised two children, Cody Roskens (23) and Emily Roskens (21). Tim could often be seen working all over Southwest Iowa on beef farms and on construction sites for MFT construction; later helping to begin a new company called RPL Utilities.
Tim’s simple pleasures in life included watching reruns of Street Outlaws, being with his family, and plotting his next big project around the Rosken’s acreage.
He is preceded in death by his father Gary Roskens and his niece Charley Falkena. He is survived by his wife Mary-Beth Roskens of Minden, IA; children Cody Roskens of Peoria, IL; Emily Roskens of Des Moines, IA; sister Robin (Chad) Butler of Harlan, IA; brothers Tom (Carrie) Roskens of Avoca, IA; Todd (Vicky) Roskens of Iowa City, IA; mother Marian Roskens of Avoca, IA. Nieces and nephews Hannah (Trey) Jackson of La Plata, MO; Cain (Bree) of Pacific Junction, IA; Grace Paulson of Spencer, IA; Abbi Brown (Joe) of Papillon, NE; Jack Paulson of Cimarron, KS; Logan (Mallie) of Harlan, IA; Nora Paulson of Maryville, MO; Chloe Falkena of Ames, IA; Ben Schroder of Oakland, IA; Mick Schroder of Oakland, IA; and Anistyn and Garrisyn Roskens of Avoca, IA.
