Sherry Lee Studebaker

Sherry Lee Eyestone was born on January 29, 1949, in Viroqua, Wisconsin, the youngest child of Doris Elorna Erickson Eyestone and Paul Lester Eyestone.

Sherry attended school in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and after graduating from high school in 1967, moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa.

On September 9, 1967, Sherry Eyestone entered into the union of marriage with Edward C. Studebaker. They moved to Denison and remained residents for many years.

Sherry Studebaker attended college of Midwestern in Denison, Iowa from 1968-1971, where she graduated with degrees in Psychology and Sociology.

In 1973, a son, Michael Ryan Studebaker joined them in their union.

Sherry was active in the community, belonging and serving in different organizations for many years. She belonged to Junior Women, Federated Womens Club where she held offices in the local and district levels, Beta Sigma Phi, and the Crawford County Chapter of the American Red Cross, where she held office, serving on the board, and helped at two local disasters.

Church work was important to Sherry and she served many years in different capacities for her church home. Sherry attended Sunday School and church at various churches in Denison.

Sherry passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Iowa Methodist in Des Moines, Iowa. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Edward Studebaker; and mother, Doris E. Eyestone and father, Paul L. Eyestone.

Those surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Studebaker and his wife Julie of Carroll, IA; grandchildren, Dillon and Emma Studebaker; and other family and friends.

It was in Sherry's wishes to have a private graveside service at a later date.
