Roberta "Bobby" Ann Nee, born on May 22, 1939, in Yorkshire, Iowa, to Jesse and Sereta Wilson Tolle, was a nurturing light in the lives of many. She passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, in Harlan, Iowa, having attained the age of 86 years and 8 days. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sereta Wilson Tolle; father, Jesse Tolle; husband, Raymond Nee; son-in-law, Doug Clark; daughter-in-law, September Nee; and her cherished siblings—Woodrow, Elena, Willard, Marjorie, Wilson, Hazel, Lindley, and Edward. They welcomed her with open arms, and she will join them in everlasting peace.

Bobby began her life's journey attending Yorkshire School in Persia, Iowa, before graduating from Denison High School in 1957. This education was a foundation upon which she would build a life dedicated to caring for others. For many years, she embraced the role of a stay-at-home mom, lovingly raising her children and babysitting neighborhood children. Her passion for service continued as she worked at Bethany Lutheran Nursing Home, she then went to work at Bluffs Run Kitchen and later joined the Council Bluffs School District cafeteria team, where she devoted herself to creating nourishing meals and brightening the days of countless students until her retirement.

Bobby had a whimsical spirit that thrived in joyful activities with loved ones. She cherished her weekly bowling nights with her husband, Raymond, the quiet joy of playing cards with family members Mike and Bev, and Hazel and Keith during weekends. Her adventurous heart led her to frequent casinos, where she created beautiful memories amidst the laughter and camaraderie of her family.

Bobby’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, encompassing her beloved children: Theresa Clark of Avoca, Jesse (Mary) Nee of Holstein, Richard (Tawnya) Nee of Harlan, and Clay Nee of Defiance. She was not only a mother but a grandmother to ten grandchildren and a great-grandmother to six precious great-grandchildren, each of whom have been touched by her love, wisdom, and the warmth of her hugs.
