Phyllis Jane Schueman
October 9, 1924 — January 2, 2007
Phyllis Jane Myers Schueman was born on October 9, 1924 in Shelby County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Charley and Christina Ronnfeldt Myers and was one of four children in the family. She attended a Shelby country grade school, Tennant High School and graduated from Avoca High School.
Phyllis was united in marriage to James O. Schueman on June 28, 1945 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They are the parents of three children; James Dale, Linda Rose and Jeffery Otto. Phyllis was a homemaker and a loving mother and wife. She was always willing to help family or others when in need. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her many flowers, cooking and taking care of her lovely home. Phyllis was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca, Iowa.
Phyllis died at her home in Avoca on Tuesday, January 2, 2007. She had attained the age of eighty two years, two months and twenty four days. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers Robert, Victor and Dick Myers.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of sixty one years, James O. Schueman of Avoca, Iowa; her children: James Dale Schueman and his wife Jane� of Avoca, Linda Rose Cruz and her husband Juan of Greeley, Colorado and Jeffery Otto Schueman and his wife Dianne, also of Avoca; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca, Iowa with Pastor Dennis Reich officiating along with Wayne Paulsen. Serving as Honorary casket bearers were Janeen Schueman and Jessica Poppe with Chris Cruz, Keith Schueman, Matt Schueman, Bob Myers, Dick Myers, Jr., and Brian Wageman serving as casket bearers. Interment was held in the Graceland Cemetery, Avoca, Iowa.
