Nancy Ann Christensen, daughter of Robert and Arlene (Campbell) Montgomery, was born November 21, 1944 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. At a young age, her family moved to Harlan where she grew up and met the love of her life, David Christensen.

On June 16, 1963, Nancy and David were married at the Methodist Church in Harlan. Together, they welcomed two daughters into their family, Linda and Kim, who were the pride and joy of Nancy’s life. Nancy began her professional journey as an aide at Myrtue Memorial Hospital, dedicating her time and effort to caring for others. After the birth of her first child, she chose to focus on her family before re-entering the workforce once her second child, Kim, began school. She then found fulfillment at Logeland Studio, where she worked for several years before moving on to Precious Memories. At Precious Memories, Nancy utilized her artistic talents to dry flowers for beautiful arrangements, blending her love for nature with her creative spirit.

David and Nancy enjoyed spending weekends at Lake View with family, creating lasting memories camping and fishing. In addition, she enjoyed playing Bridge, belonging to a few clubs where she shared her love for the game and made numerous friendships. Nancy’s life was filled with simple joys, including her fondness for Elvis Presley and always her drink of choice was a Diet Coke. She loved the time she spent with her family, especially attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities and events. She will be remembered for her loving and nurturing spirit.

Nancy passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Elm Crest Retirement Home, attaining the age of eighty years, ten months, and eighteen days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Christensen, brothers, Thomas Montgomery and Bob Montgomery.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda and her husband Mike Monahan of Harlan, Iowa; Kim Gracey and Mark Toman of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Brittany Dahir, Trevor Gracey, and Tyler Gracey; great-grandchildren, Braelyn and Tripp Dahir; and her sister, Jan Robbs of Carroll, IA; many other relatives and many friends.
