Maryann Elaine Weddle

Maryann Elaine Weddle, daughter of Tom and Minnie Margaret (Armstrong) Delaney, was born April 30, 1937 in Vermillion, South Dakota. She attended Riverview School and graduated from Central High School in Sioux City, Iowa.
On April 2, 1957, Maryann was united in marriage to Donald Eugene Weddle at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City. Three children were born to this union: on son, Mark, and two daughters daughters, Della and Donna.
In 1972, Maryann started working as a CNA at Baptist Home in Harlan, Iowa. She remained there for 31 years before retiring in 2003 from Elm Crest Retirement Community.
She died on Thursday, February 22, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, attaining the age of eighty years, nine months, and twenty-three days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Weddle.
She has left to cherish her memory, her children Mark Weddle of Harlan, Iowa; Della and her husband Mike Behrendt of Defiance, Iowa; Donna Weddle of Harlan, Iowa; 2 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters Sandra Kay Hultquist of Sioux City, Iowa; Judy Rother of Danbury, Wisconsin; nieces and nephews; other family members and friends.
A 1:00 PM Memorial Service was officiated by Pastor Jeff Erlemeier on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Abundant Life Church in Harlan, Iowa. Dave Fries and Roger Peterson served as honorary urn bearers. Inurnment was held at the Harlan Cemetery in Harlan, Iowa.
