Darci Marie Towne was born on October 14, 1979 in Harlan, Iowa to Kenneth and Loraine (Hansen) Towne. She was baptized and confirmed at the Hancock United Methodist Church. She graduated with the class of 1998 at AST in Avoca, Iowa.
Darci shared her gift of helping others by working in both Iowa and Colorado with the elderly and handicapped. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, growing flowers and plants and cooking for others. All of her family was special - but her neices and nephews held a very special place in her heart. She was a Fan of the Hawkeyes and Kansas City Royals. She enjoyed spending time with her cat Lucky AKA “The Duck” and her dog Reba.
Darci kept her positive and upbeat attitude during her brave fight against melanoma. She kept her beautiful smile, contagious laugh and thumbs up attitude to the end. Darci’s brave battle ended on Saturday September 26, 2015 where she was surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Kansas City, Missouri.
