Clifford Morrison

Clifford Lee Morrison, Jr. was born on May 23,1944, to Clifford and Jean (McIntosh) Morrison. He attended Harlan Community Schools and graduated high school in 1962. From there, he attended the University of Nebraska in Omaha College and started working at Vickers in Omaha. He then joined the Army National Guard where he served for six years.

In April of 1964, Clifford was united in marriage to Jane Christensen, four children were born to this union, Clifford III, Tammy, Kevin, and Susan. Later in life, on December 26, 1992, he remarried to Cindy Lou Robertson and together they raised four children Joe, Harvey, Frank Allen, and Cody.

Clifford enjoyed many things in his life. He loved watching sports on the television, animals, and travelling to Branson, MO and Colorado to see his sister and family. He loved spending time with his family, some of his favorite memories as a kid, were spending time at the one room schoolhouse outside of Portsmouth where his mom was the teacher. He loved farming and enjoyed all the years he spent working at Vickers where he eventually retired in 2001.

Clifford passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, attaining the age of eighty-two years, three months, and twenty-two days. He was proceeded in death by his parents; sister, Edith “Edie” Miller; and stepson, Harvey Moody.

He is survived by his children, Clifford Lee Morrison III of Bellevue, NE, Tammy Jo Morrison of Detroit, MI, Kevin Eugene Morrison of Portsmouth, IA, Susan Marie Morrison of Portsmouth, IA; stepchildren, Joe Betances of Iowa, Frank Allen of Iowa; grandson, Cody Betances of Harlan, IA; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
