Cheryl Ann (Weier) Coyle, daughter of Lloy John and Jennie (Kruse) Weier, was born on February 15, 1954, in Cherokee, Iowa. She was one of eleven beloved children in the Weier family. Cheryl was baptized in March of 1964 and was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church.

She began her education at Sioux Rapids–Linn Grove School, attending from kindergarten through fifth grade, and continued at Sioux Rapids High School through the tenth grade later receiving her GED. Cheryl often fondly recalled her childhood adventures, days spent with her siblings playing along the river, fishing, and catching crawdads near the dam.

On October 20, 2006, Cheryl was united in marriage to Lawrence “Pete” Coyle in Denison, Iowa. The couple made their home in Spencer before moving to Denison, eventually settling in Schleswig, where they built a life together filled with love and simple joys.

Over the years, Cheryl worked in a variety of roles, including caring for and cleaning at the local pub in Denison. She took great pride in her work and found fulfillment in her creativity, especially in sewing and quilting. Above all, Cheryl cherished time spent with her grandsons, Dawson and Dalton, who brought endless joy to her life.

Cheryl passed away peacefully at her home in Schleswig on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the age of 71 years, eight months, and one day. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Pete, in 2008; her son, Shane Weier, in 2013; and her siblings Frank, Robert, Dean, Carol (Weier) Konrady, Allen, Wayne, and Charles Weier.
