Carolyn Quist

Carolyn Marie Quist was born on February 6, 1953, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Nadine (Nelson) Quist and John Quist. She grew up in Harlan, where she spent most of her life surrounded by family, friends, and the small-town community she cherished.

Carolyn dedicated over 30 years of her career to CDS, where her strong work ethic and kind spirit left a lasting impression on her coworkers and all who knew her. After retiring in 2019, she moved to Omaha to live with her son and his family, a decision that brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

Family was the heart of Carolyn’s life. Her greatest happiness came from watching her grandchildren grow and cheering them on at their many sporting events. Whether in the stands or on the sidelines, Carolyn was always their biggest supporter, offering endless love and encouragement.

Carolyn passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2025, attaining the age of 72 years, 6 months, and 16 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nadine and John Quist; son, Jeff Quist; siblings, Richard, Laura, Steve, and John B. She is survived by her son, Jamie (Renee) Quist of Omaha, Nebraska; three beloved grandchildren, John Quist of Avoca, Iowa, and Jacob and Jayla Quist of Omaha, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Nilfa Quist of Omaha, Nebraska; nephew, Adam Quist of Omaha, Nebraska; along with other relatives and many dear friends.
