Bonnie Sieh

Bonnie Jean Sieh, was born on April 12, 1953, in Council Bluffs, Iowa and grew up on a farm outside of Persia, Iowa, to Roy and Dorothy Iwen. She attended Tri-Center Schools and graduated with the Class of 1971. Bonnie participated in band, track, cheerleading and 4-H. Following graduation, she attended Northwest Missouri State for 2 years as a music major.

On June 29, 1975, Bonnie was united in marriage to Mark Sieh, to this union they raised 3 children: Eric, Kelly and Jill. Together, her and Mark ran a successful gun business for over 35 years. The two of them also raised hogs, corn and beans, and farrowed to finish pigs. In the fall, you could catch her hauling in corn and driving a tractor and grain cart. She loved spending her free time gardening, watching the Detroit Tigers baseball team and Husker Volleyball. She served the Oakland Lutheran Church as their pianist and organist for many years. Bonnie enjoyed watching her children’s and grandchildren’s activities. She could always be found at a ball field with a huge smile on her face. She loved to travel with Mark out west to Wyoming, Montana, and Utah.

On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, Bonnie passed away suddenly having attained the age of 73 years, 4 months and 21 days. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Dorothy Iwen. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Mark Sieh of Avoca; children Eric (Angela) Sieh and their kids Morgan, Wyatt and Olivia; Kelly (Kyle) Mallicoat and their kids Grady and Camden; and Jill (Nate) Weathers and their kids Marnie and Hattie; siblings Bill (Judy) Iwen, Denny (Lori) Iwen, and Joan Iwen; other family and many friends.
