Alondra Vargas, born on June 12, 2008, in Omaha, Nebraska, Alondra was the shining light in the hearts of many. She was a current high school senior at AHSTW, where her spirited involvement in various activities highlighted her vibrant personality. From soccer and volleyball to cheerleading and being part of the Homecoming court, she embraced each moment with joy and enthusiasm. Her dedication to student organizations like FBLA and NHS spoke volumes about her ambition and willingness to serve.

Alondra was not just a student; she was a kid at heart—a playful, adventurous girl who found delight in the simplest pleasures. She loved jumping on the trampoline, fishing, and letting her creativity flow through her artwork and sketching. With an eye for colors, she filled the world around her with beauty and inspiration. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Alondra remember her for her warmth, kindness, and the genuine love she had for her friends and family.

Her cherished memories, woven from time spent laughing with her siblings, and going out with her friends. Gone too soon, a radiant soul who graced our lives with her laughter and boundless energy passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025, having attained the age of 17 years, 5 months and 29 days. She leaves behind her mom, Maria Gubbels, and step-dad Tim Gubbels of Avoca, Iowa; siblings Miguel, Erick, Timothy, Ethen, Hayden, Andrew and Vanessa; other family and many, many friends.

Alondra may no longer walk among us, but her spirit will resonate through the laughter of children playing, the colors of a beautiful sunset, and every sketch created by an inspired hand. She will be forever missed, cherished, and remembered as the vibrant girl who brought joy to everyone who knew her.
