Charles "Bud" Kyle

June 4, 1931 - March 6, 2022

Charles “Bud” Kyle was born to Charles and Frances (Hester) Kyle in Des Moines, Iowa on June 4, 1931. He was the eldest of ten siblings. Everyone knew Charles as “Bud” or “Buddy”. He was a proud father of four children: Christy, Craig, Cary and Carla. In 1971, Bud met Carol Danker, and they added Daryl and Arla to their blended family. They lived in Avoca because Carol was an Elementary teacher. Bud started driving truck when he was 16 and continued to work for Wheeler Lumber in Des Moines. In 1986, Bud had to give up truck driving due to a heart attack. He really hated that he had to give up something that he really loved. Bud and Carol married and lived in Avoca til the present. Bud and Carol loved to travel. There was only one state that they did not get to go to, Hawaii. Bud’s favorite trips were to Branson to see the Christmas Shows. Bud and Carol did travel to Germany to visit kids in the service. Bud was very patriotic, he loved his family, community and life in general. Bud pass away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Myrtue Medical Center while on hospice having attained the age of 90 years, 9 months and 2 days. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory here on earth is his wife Carol Kyle of Avoca, Iowa; children Christy, Craig, Cary and Carla; step children Darla and Daryl; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother Jack Kyle. He was known as “GGPa” to the kids. He will be missed by all.
